Jarvia is a highly dedicated practitioner with over 15 years extensive experience in healthcare. Jarvia’s career began as a Diagnostic Radiographer in 1994. After she experienced the dramatic benefits of osteopathic treatments recovering from a snowboarding injury, she began to train at the British School of Osteopathy. The holistic and compassionate outlook the osteopaths had when considering health and illness, resonated profoundly with her personal ideologies and inspired her new career as an osteopath. As a student of Zen master, Thich Nhat Hanh, and yoga practitioner she places the principle of the interconnection of body and mind at the forefront of her healing work.
Her two year undergraduate research explored the osteopathic treatment and management of Pregnancy Related Pelvic Pain (PRPP) compared with standard care within the UK. Her skills in peri-natal care of expectant and new mothers developed further with a Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetric Osteopathy
Jarvia’s individually tailored treatments incorporate traditional osteopathic philosophies and principles, complemented by over ten years radiography experience and ongoing research and practice in Acupuncture and Neuromuscular Rehabilitation.
Jarvia enjoys treating patients of all ages and for a wide variety of conditions. She treats new/acute injuries and chronic problems. Many of her patients seek treatment to maintain good health and function. She is a recognised specialist with most major insurance companies.
